Our Team

Based in Ontario, Canada, we are a team of award winning storytellers with over 20+ years of combined experience. We are experienced in fiction, documentary and animation filmmaking and commercial video production. Our works have showcased at film festivals around the world.

Aram Collier, Writer/Director/Producer/EditorAram is a mixed-race Asian Canadian/American (Chinese and English/Dutch/German) and a San Francisco native who has a BFA and MFA in Film Production from the University of California at Santa Cruz and York University respectively. Aram is a filmmaker, educator, and film festival programmer. He has a background in documentary, editing the award-winning feature documentary Refugee and directing/editing the short doc Who I Became both which broadcast nationally on PBS in the United States. His subsequent dramatic and experimental film work has played festivals in the United States, Canada, Japan, and China. From 2011-2014, his omnibus live music and film project Suite Suite Chinatown toured Canada, Asia, and the United States. In 2017, he wrote, directed, edited and produced the Telefilm Canada funded feature film Stand Up Man. Most recently Aram directed and edited the award-winning short documentary A Sweet & Sour Christmas about a family-run Chinese restaurant on Christmas for CBC.

He completed his Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees in Communications at the University of Windsor. He also completed his Master's of Fine Arts in film production at York University.

Tony is a Canadian Hong Kong-born filmmaker and educator. He has worked on numerous international films including animations, documentaries, and fictional films. Joseph Chung, Writer/Director/Producer/EditorJoseph Chung graduated from York University in Cinema Media Studies and has produced, directed and worked on films such as Mother's Tongue (2018) and Table for Three (2019) Currently he is working on Plantemic 2021, a short episodic animated film voiced by Eric Bauza, Andrea Bang, and Franco Nguyen. Outside of his time at Common Factor Media, Joseph is also an independent producer at Staircasewit. Joseph is very involved in the film community and wishes to work with new and seasoned artists to continue his craft.

His film works have premiered to a global audience such as Canada, USA, Italy and South Korea, Currently, he is writing and directing his feature film. Outside of his time at Common Factor Media, Joseph is also an independent producer at Staircasewit. Joseph is very involved in the film community and wishes to work with new and seasoned artists to continue his craft.
